Yordan Kapsamunov Park

Park "Yordan Kapsamunov" pays tribute to one of the most prominent citizens of Stara Zagora – the Mayor of the city in the period from 1952 to 1962. Today the park offers tranquility, greenery and a lake in which ducks swim. Here you can hide among the leaves of one of the oldest weeping willows in the city.

The construction and cultural activities were booming in the city during his mandate. Many of the landmarks appeared then, such as the House Museum of „Geo Milev“ and Beroe Stadium, the National Astronomical Observatory, many new schools were opened etc. Today the park offers tranquility, greenery and a lake where ducks swim. Here you can hide among the leaves of one of the oldest weeping willows in the city.
